Abstract

The key purpose of this research is to identify the more important values within the context of the students to learn. It also aims to determine the extent of learning the students acquired in relation to the considered more important values and to find out the significant difference between the perceptions of the two groups of respondents in terms of extent of learning to see if the activities initiated are successful or needs modification to improve. This study employed a quantitative descriptive method and was conducted involving 15 teachers and 80 random parents of Sampaga Elementary School. Some social media platforms were used for communication purposes. In order to arrive at the needed analysis, Frequency Count and Percentage, Weighted Mean and Pearson R Test were applied as the statistical tools. The extent of learning was measured through rating scale. Based on the survey result, the top five (5) more important values to learn by students are Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Generosity, and Faith in God. It turned out that the extent of learning are satisfactory and good and there is no significant difference between the perceptions of the two groups of respondents. Thus, the continuation of the implementation of this project is needed in order to come up with an excellent result. This research was studied by the researcher and the result may serve as a springboard for the future improvements of the schools’ existing programs and guidelines on the implementation of PROJECT BOAT.
